The use of self-aligning roller bearings for vibrating screens needs to be comprehensively controlled from four aspects: installation preparation, installation method, post installation inspection and adjustment, and operation and maintenance. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Installation preparation
Tools and materials preparation: Prepare the necessary tools for installation, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, heating equipment (such as oil bath heaters or induction heaters), insulation gloves, and lubricants.
Parts inspection: Check the size and shape accuracy of the matching parts such as shafts and bearing seats according to the drawings to ensure compliance with installation requirements.
. Cleaning parts: Thoroughly clean all parts that need to be installed before installation, including shafts, bearing seats, bearings, etc., to ensure that there are no impurities or dirt.Keep the original packaging: Do not open the bearing packaging until the preparation work is completed to avoid contamination.
.2. Installation Methods
The installation methods of self-aligning roller bearings are mainly divided into cold installation and hot installation, and the specific choice depends on the size and interference fit of the bearing.
.Cold installation:
Core rod pressure method: Use a core rod press and mounting tube to press the shaft onto the shaft or into the seat hole.
. This method is suitable for small-sized bearings or light interference fit. During installation, ensure that the material of the installation pipe is soft (such as soft steel) and that both ends are perpendicular to the bearing. Do not apply pressure to the wrong ring, such as applying pressure to the outer ring when the shaft is tightly matched with the inner ring.Hot installation:
Heating method: Heat the bearing until it expands and then insert it onto the shaft.
. This method is suitable for large-sized bearings or heavy interference fit. The heating temperature is usually 80-120 ℃, with a maximum of 121 ℃. It is recommended to use an oil bath (around 93 ℃) or induction heater for heating, to avoid direct flame heating. When heating, the bearing should be heated 5cm away from the bottom of the heat source and should not directly contact the heat source. Quickly fit the heated bearings onto the shaft to ensure proper installation. For tapered bore self-aligning roller bearings: they can be installed by tightening or disassembling the sleeve and fixed with a locking nut.
. During installation, it is necessary to measure the reduction in radial clearance to control the fit tightness.III. Inspection and Adjustment After Installation
Do not strike directly: Do not strike the bearing end face or roller directly with a hammer to avoid damaging the raceway.
.Uniform force application: Use a copper rod to tap alternately in the circumferential direction to avoid eccentricity caused by one-sided force.
. Cleaning throughout: Keep all contact surfaces clean during installation.Alignment accuracy: Ensure that the coaxiality between the shaft and the bearing seat meets the requirements to perform the centering function.
. Clearance adjustment: After installation, it may be necessary to adjust the bearing clearance according to the working conditions. For high load and high-speed self-aligning roller bearings, when adjusting the clearance, it is necessary to consider the impact of temperature rise on axial clearance and estimate the reduction in clearance caused by temperature rise.IV. Operation and Maintenance
Regular Inspection: Regularly check the operating status of bearings, including temperature, vibration, noise, etc. If any abnormalities are found, they should be dealt with promptly. Lubrication and maintenance: Regularly lubricate the bearings with oil and high-temperature resistant grease (such as molybdenum disulfide grease). The refueling cycle can be determined based on usage, and it is generally recommended to refuel once per shift.
Replace bearings: When bearings experience severe wear, fatigue peeling, cracks, and other faults, they should be replaced with new bearings in a timely manner.
. When replacing, all four sets should be replaced simultaneously to maintain consistency in bearing performance.
