What are the common faults of air spinning machines

There are various common faults in the production process of cotton yarn using air spinning machines. The following are some of the main faults and their causes:


1、 Increased decapitation rate

Reason for occurrence:

The yarn strength of fibers is weak during the coalescence and merging process.

The spinning cup has high rotational speed and centrifugal force, resulting in significant air resistance during the twisting process of the fibers.

Impurities, dust, dead cotton bundles, and unstable operation and negative pressure in cotton strips.

During the process of twist transmission, there is a significant loss of twist, resulting in changes in the volume and twist of the yarn.

Control measures:

Pay attention to the quality of local cleaning, replace the broken strip empty cylinder in a timely manner, and reduce the breakage caused by cotton defects and other factors.

Carry out maintenance and repair of components such as cotton boards, cotton rollers, combing rollers, and fiber conveying channels.

When the accumulation of impurities and dust in the spinning cup continues to increase after cleaning, attention should be paid to the impurities in the raw cotton and the mixing ratio of reused cotton should be adjusted.

Maintain stable negative pressure in the spinning cup, and unify the pressure between the rubber roller and the yarn guide roller.

2、 Clogging of yarn ends

Cause: Excessive or dense fiber material in the yarn head can easily lead to blockage.

Exclusion method:

Shutdown cleaning: Close relevant doors, windows, and power switches, open the spindle cover door, check for debris, fibers, or cotton fluff inside the yarn head, and clean it up in a timely manner.

Cleaning the suction port: If there are no obvious debris inside the yarn head, it may be that there are fibers on the suction port that need to be cleaned.

Replace the yarn head with a new one: If none of the above methods can solve the problem, you can try replacing the yarn head with a new one.

3、 Knotting of yarn ends

Reason for occurrence: The traction force between the yarn heads changes, causing the fibers between two or more yarn heads to entangle and form knots.

Exclusion method:

Shutdown handling: Close relevant doors and windows and power switches, open the spindle cover door, check and remove tangled yarn heads.

Manual knotting: Gently pull the knotted yarn head by hand, and take out loose fibers one by one until they are completely untied.

Increasing traction: Increasing the traction of the spinning machine can minimize the occurrence of knots.

4、 Unstable air pressure

Causes: pipeline blockage, air filter malfunction, pressure gauge malfunction, etc.

Exclusion method:

Check the pressure gauge: Ensure that the pressure gauge is qualified. If the dial pointer is in the red area, it indicates that the pressure is too high or too low and needs to be adjusted or replaced.

Check the air filter: Clean or replace the air filter covered with dust, particles, etc. in a timely manner.

Check the pipeline: Clean the blocked pipeline.

5、 Motor malfunction

Causes: motor damage, aging circuit, unstable power supply, etc.

Exclusion method:

Check the power supply: Ensure that the input and output voltages of the power supply are normal, without any undervoltage, overvoltage, or other phenomena.

Check the motor connection: Ensure that the motor connection is normal and avoid damage to the motor due to poor connection.

6、 The equipment vibrates and makes loud noises

Causes: Damage to fan bearings, hanging flowers or damage to fan blades, damage to the tension wheel or guide wheel of the rotating cup and combing stick dragon belt, etc.

Exclusion methods: Replace damaged bearings, remove hanging flowers, repair or replace damaged fan blades and dragon belts and other components.

7、 Temperature, humidity, and process negative pressure issues

Reason for occurrence: The temperature, humidity, and negative pressure of the spinning equipment are not suitable, such as too low or too high relative humidity, unstable negative pressure of the process, etc.

Control measures:

Maintain stable negative pressure in the process, clean the impurity removal box in a timely manner, and prevent poor ventilation.

In summary, there are various types of faults in air spinning machines, and corresponding control measures and troubleshooting methods need to be taken based on specific causes. At the same time, regular maintenance and upkeep of equipment is also an important measure to reduce the occurrence of malfunctions.
