Cleaning Method for Airflow Spinning Machine

Cleaning the air spinning machine is an important step in ensuring its normal operation and extending its service life. The following are cleaning methods for different parts of the air flow spinning machine:


1、 Cleaning of yarn head and suction port

Shutdown cleaning:

Stop the machine first, close the relevant doors, windows, and power switches to ensure safe operation.

Open the spindle cover door and check for any debris, fibers, or cotton fluff inside the yarn head.

If there are any debris, clean them up in a timely manner to avoid blockage.

Cleaning the suction port:

If there are no obvious impurities inside the yarn head, but the spinning effect is still poor, it may be due to fiber blockage on the suction port.

At this point, it is necessary to clean the air intake to ensure smooth suction.

2、 Cleaning of spinning cups

The spinning cup of the air flow spinning machine needs to be cleaned regularly to remove fibers and impurities. An effective cleaning method is:


After opening a spinning unit, extract fibers and impurities from the spinning cup. These fibers and impurities detach from the inner surface of the spinning cup under the action of compressed air applied to the inner surface.

Introduce clean compressed air into the spinning cup in at least two streams, which create a symmetrical flow in the same direction within the spinning cup. The impurities scattered from the spinning cup are sucked out through the inlet hole of the spinning cup together with the supplied air.

3、 Cleaning and inspection of motors and pneumatic systems

Motor cleaning:

Regularly clean the dust on the motor casing and heat sink to ensure good heat dissipation of the motor.

Check if the motor circuit is aging or damaged, and replace it promptly if necessary.

Air pressure system inspection:

Check if the pressure gauge is qualified. If the dial pointer is in the red area, it indicates that the pressure is too high or too low and needs to be adjusted or replaced.

Check whether the air filter is covered by dust, particles, etc., and clean or replace the filter in a timely manner.

Check if the pipeline is blocked. If there is any blockage, it can be resolved by cleaning the pipeline.

4、 Cleaning and oiling of bearings

For the sealed bearings in air spinning machines, regular cleaning and oiling are necessary to extend their service life. The cleaning and refueling methods include:


Sleeve cleaning and refueling method:

Suitable for sealed bearings with gaps at both ends of the bearing housing.

Soak the bearings in kerosene for 1-2 hours first.

Produce a specialized sleeve based on the outer diameter size of the bearing.

The inner diameter of the sleeve is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the bearing by 0.05mm~0.08mm, and slightly shallower than the bearing.

Add an appropriate amount of kerosene into the sleeve, press the bearing in by hand, and use the gap between the bearing itself to squeeze out the kerosene, repeating 1-2 times.

After cleaning and drying, add the required lubricating grease to the sleeve.

Place the bearing into the sleeve and gently press it down with a pressure gauge. Adjust the amount of oil according to your needs.

Special oil nozzle refueling method:

Suitable for special fully enclosed bearings, with a gap at one end and a positioning screw hole.

Soak the bearings in kerosene for 1-2 hours first.

Inhale kerosene with a special nozzle and oil gun, and repeatedly inject it into the bearing 2-3 times.

After drying, use an oil gun to add the required lubricating grease.

5、 Cleaning of pre spinning process

In order to meet the requirements of air-jet spinning, the cleaning process in the pre spinning process also needs to be strengthened:


Utilize suction to enhance the removal of fine dust.

In the process of opening and cleaning cotton, a piercing roller is used to enhance the opening and loosening effect on the fibers, so that the fibers are decomposed into single fibers before entering the carding machine, allowing impurities to fully fall down and be eliminated as soon as possible.

Adopting a new high-yield carding machine, fully utilizing additional combing elements and multi-point dust suction ports to enhance the combing and impurity removal effect on fibers.

In summary, the cleaning work of air spinning machines involves multiple aspects and details. Only comprehensive and meticulous cleaning work can ensure the normal operation and prolong the service life of the air spinning machine.
