The liquid-gas separator is a specialized device for primary degassing of gas-invaded drilling fluid, a very useful mud gas separator. Liquid-gas separators are divided into atmospheric pressure and pressure self-control types according to pressure.

  The atmospheric pressure hydrogen sulfide-proof drilling fluid liquid-gas separator is made of high-quality materials. It can effectively prevent the erosion of harmful gases and ensure safe production for both humans and machines. When gas invasion occurs in the drilling fluid, its specific gravity and viscosity deviate significantly, failing to meet drilling requirements; if not handled promptly in severe cases, it may cause well flow or even well blowout accidents. The combined use of a liquid-gas separator and an electronic ignition device ensures the smooth progress of the drilling process.

  The liquid-gas separator is used in conjunction with a throttle manifold to remove free gas from the drilling fluid and can be applied to underbalanced drilling and the treatment of drilling fluids containing hydrogen sulfide gas. Traditional separator liquid level and pressure control.

  Features

  1. The liquid-gas separator uses bottom drainage and discharge to control the height of the working liquid level to ensure a constant liquid level in the separator, while solving the problem of sand accumulation in the tank;

  2. The liquid-gas separator tank is equipped with a special gas separation channel, ensuring smooth gas discharge and improving gas treatment efficiency;

  3. The liquid-gas separator combines multiple separation technologies such as centrifugal separation, physical impact separation, and vacuum separation to ensure gas separation efficiency;

  4. Buffer devices are installed at each bend of the liquid supply pipe of the liquid-gas separator, and replaceable impact-resistant baffles are added. These can be regularly inspected and replaced according to wear and tear, extending the service life of the equipment;

  5. The hydrogen sulfide-proof liquid-gas separator is manufactured and processed using special materials to completely prevent damage to the equipment from hydrogen sulfide gas in the gas. Working Principle The gas-invaded drilling fluid enters the separator tangentially through the inlet of the liquid-gas separator, falls along the inner wall onto a series of specially designed inner baffles, collides, increases the exposed surface area, flows downward, creating a turbulent state, and separates the gas from the drilling fluid. The free gas is discharged through the gas outlet at the top of the tank. The length of the exhaust pipe is determined on-site and equipped, and is led to a safe place, while the degassed drilling fluid is discharged into the circulation tank.

  When the liquid-gas separator is not in use, drain the drilling fluid from the equipment and rinse it with water. Strictly prohibit storing mud in the separator to prevent the mud from solidifying and making it unusable.
