GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The XR3406 is a constant frequency, current modestep-down converter. The device integrates a mainswitch and a synchronous rectifier for highefficiency without an external Schottky diode. It isideal for powering portable equipment that runsfrom a single cell Lithium-Ion (Li+) battery. Theoutput voltage can be regulated as low as 0.6V.The XR3406 can also run at 100% duty cycle forlow dropout operation, extending battery life inportable system. This device offers two operationmodes, PWM control and PFM Mode switchingcontrol, which allows a high efficiency over thewider range of the load.
The XR3406 is offered in a low profile 5-pin, SOTpackage, and is available in an adjustable version.
