The maintenance of self-aligning roller bearings for crushers needs to be comprehensively managed from six aspects: installation, lubrication, cleaning, maintenance, operation monitoring, and operation specifications. The specific methods are as follows:


1. Installation control

Tolerance and roundness management

After the bearing is pressed into the shaft, it should rotate flexibly without any obstruction. If the rotation is not flexible, it is necessary to check whether the dimensional tolerance of the shaft is too large; If there is a rustling sensation during rotation, it may be due to excessive tolerance or poor roundness of the shaft.

Some domestic manufacturers only control tolerances and ignore roundness. It is necessary to optimize the tolerances and roundness of the shaft and bearing chamber simultaneously to ensure the accuracy of the fit.

Special mold assembly

Spherical roller bearings are high-precision products, and special molds need to be used during assembly to avoid random tapping.

. When pressing the shaft, only the small circle is subjected to force, and when pressing the large circle, only the large circle is subjected to force to prevent channel damage.

It is recommended to use pneumatic or hydraulic compression, and ensure that the upper and lower molds are level to avoid uneven bearing force on the shaft caused by tilting.

Foreign object prevention

Before assembly, the bearings and installation environment should be thoroughly cleaned to prevent foreign objects such as iron filings and dust from entering.

Avoid applying too much oil or grease in the bearing chamber to prevent oil from seeping into the interior of the bearing during rotation.

2. Lubrication Management

Lubricant Selection

Priority should be given to using No. 3 lithium based grease (composed of lithium soap and lubricating oil, without harmful components to the human body), which has excellent high temperature resistance and wear resistance.

. The filling amount of lubricating grease is generally 1/2-2/3 of the bearing chamber space to avoid excessive overheating or insufficient lubrication.

Regular replacement

After running for 3000 hours, it is necessary to add lubricating grease again or adjust the cycle according to the actual working conditions.

. When the grease becomes dirty, dry, or aged, it needs to be replaced immediately to prevent bearing wear from worsening.

Lubrication method

Add lubricating grease through the oil nozzle to ensure that the lubricant evenly covers the surface of the roller.

Avoid using inferior or impure lubricating oil to prevent chemical corrosion or performance degradation.

III. Cleaning and Maintenance

Step by step cleaning

Rough cleaning: Use a brush to remove lubricating grease or adhesive substances in the oil, to avoid the bearing rotating with dirt and damaging the rolling surface.

Fine cleaning: Slowly rotate the bearing in cleaning oil and carefully clean the raceway surface, rolling elements, and other parts.

The recommended cleaning agent is neutral diesel or kerosene that does not contain water. It should be filtered regularly to maintain cleanliness, and rust proof oil should be applied immediately after cleaning.

Damage assessment

After cleaning, check the condition of the raceway surface, rolling surface, and mating surface, as well as the wear of the cage and changes in bearing clearance.

. If defects such as cracks, fractures, jamming, or severe indentation are found, the bearing should be replaced immediately.

IV. Operation Monitoring

Basic Condition Monitoring

Regularly measure bearing temperature, vibration, and noise to detect potential problems early.

. Abnormal temperature rise, vibration, or noise may indicate insufficient lubrication, foreign object intrusion, or improper assembly.

Load and speed monitoring

Monitor the actual load and speed based on the bearing design parameters to avoid early failure caused by overload operation.

Fifth, Operation Specification

Anti impact and rust prevention

Avoid strong impact during operation to prevent bearing damage or breakage.

. When using bearings in humid environments, rust prevention measures should be taken (such as applying rust proof oil) and gloves should be worn to prevent sweat corrosion.

Regular inspection and replacement

Develop a regular inspection plan, focusing on checking bearing wear, lubrication status, and fit accuracy.
