The self-aligning roller bearings of crushers have the characteristics of strong load-bearing capacity, good impact resistance, and long service life, and are suitable for spindle support of equipment such as jaw crushers, cone crushers, and impact crushers. Its usage covers multiple aspects such as installation, lubrication, operation monitoring, maintenance, and safe operation, as follows:
1. Installation method
Installation of cylindrical hole bearings
Heating installation: Heat the bearing to 80 ℃ -100 ℃, maintain uniform oil temperature, and avoid local overheating. The heating time depends on the size of the bearing, usually 30 minutes. After heating, quickly insert the bearing onto the shaft until the inner ring end face of the bearing is in close contact with the shaft shoulder. After cooling, tighten the locking nut and install a locking washer or locking card to prevent the nut from loosening. Press in: Suitable for small bearings. Insert the cushion block into the inner ring and press it quietly with a press until the inner ring is in close contact with the shaft shoulder. It is best to apply oil on the mating surface before operation.
Installation of tapered hole bearings
Tightening sleeve installation: Place the tightening sleeve on the platform and remove the locking nut.
. Clean the surface of the shaft and install spacer rings (if necessary). Insert a screwdriver into the cut of the tightening sleeve and fit the tightening sleeve onto the shaft. Install the bearing on the tightening sleeve, and when there is a spacer ring at the shoulder of the shaft, press the inner ring end face of the bearing against the spacer ring. Install the locking nut and tighten it with a special wrench until the torque of the wrench increases and stops. Measure the clearance during the initial stage of bearing installation, and determine the recommended residual clearance based on the inner diameter size of the bearing as the target value for installation clearance. Continue tightening the locking nut and repeatedly measure the radial clearance of the bearing until the installation clearance target value is reached. Installation of hydraulic nut: Place the tightening sleeve on the platform and remove the hydraulic nut. Clean the surface of the shaft and install spacer rings (if necessary). Install the tightening sleeve onto the shaft and the bearing onto the tightening sleeve. Install the hydraulic nut and use a special wrench to press the hydraulic nut plate against the inner ring end face of the bearing. Connect the oil pipe of the hydraulic pump to the hydraulic nut, slowly press the control rod of the hydraulic pump to increase pressure until the bearing clearance begins to change. Record the pressure value of the gauge and the initial measurement value of the radial clearance of the bearing, and determine the recommended residual clearance based on the inner diameter size of the bearing as the installation clearance target value. Continue to apply pressure and repeatedly measure the radial clearance of the bearing until the installation clearance target value is reached. Remove the oil pipe, remove the oil pressure nut, and install the locking washer or locking card.2. Lubrication Method
Lubricating grease lubrication: The self-aligning roller bearings with sealing rings on both sides are filled with lubricating grease before leaving the factory, and the filling amount of lubricating grease is generally 25% -35% of the effective space inside the bearing.
. If the customer has special requirements, other types of lubricating grease can also be filled or the filling amount can be adjusted. During installation, do not clean or heat it above 80 ℃, otherwise it may damage the bearings or cause grease deterioration and loss. Lubricating oil lubrication: For self-aligning roller bearings with lubrication holes and grooves on the outer ring, lubricating oil lubrication can be used. The selection of lubricating oil should be determined based on the working conditions of the bearing, such as temperature, speed, load, etc. Lubricating oil should be replaced regularly to maintain its cleanliness and lubrication performance.III. Operation Monitoring
Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check the bearing temperature to ensure it is within the normal working range.
. Generally, the bearing temperature can be inferred from the outer surface of the bearing seat, but a more accurate method is to directly measure the outer ring temperature of the bearing using oil holes. If the temperature of the bearing rises sharply, it may be caused by poor bearing or installation, and the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.Vibration monitoring: Use vibration sensors to monitor the vibration frequency and amplitude of bearings during operation.
. If the vibration exceeds the standard, it may be caused by bearing damage, poor installation, or insufficient lubrication, and it needs to be promptly investigated and dealt with. Clearance monitoring: Regularly measure the radial clearance of the bearing to ensure it meets the design requirements. Excessive or insufficient clearance can affect the normal operation and service life of bearings.IV. Maintenance
Regular Inspection: Regularly inspect the integrity of bearings and their accessories, including bearing appearance, seals, locking devices, etc.
. If damage or severe wear is found, it should be replaced in a timely manner. Cleaning and maintenance: Keep the bearings and their surrounding environment clean to prevent dust, dirt, and other contaminants from entering the interior of the bearings. Regularly clean the bearing seat and lubrication system to ensure the cleanliness and lubrication performance of the lubricating oil.3. Lubricating grease replacement: For bearings that have been running for a long time, it is necessary to regularly replace the lubricating grease.
. When replacing, the old lubricating grease should be thoroughly removed and the interior of the bearing should be cleaned. Then, add new lubricating grease to the specified amount.Fifth, Safe Operation
Installation Safety: When installing bearings, ensure that the lifting equipment is safe and stable to prevent the bearings from falling and injuring people.
. When using lifting equipment for hoisting, ensure that no one is standing under or near the bearings.Operation safety: During the operation of the bearing, it is strictly prohibited to touch the bearing or rotating parts to prevent danger.
. If it is necessary to check the operation of bearings, special tools or instruments should be used for remote monitoring.Maintenance safety: When carrying out bearing maintenance or upkeep, the power should be cut off and warning signs should be hung to prevent accidental start-up and personal injury.
. At the same time, personal protective equipment such as protective gloves and goggles should be worn to prevent lubricating oil or bearing debris from splashing into the eyes or skin.
