What are the safety precautions for the operation of self-aligning roller bearings in vibrating screens
 日期:2025/11/26 10:03:00

During the installation, use, and maintenance of the vibrating screen self-aligning roller bearings, the following safety precautions must be strictly followed to ensure stable operation of the equipment and extend the bearing life:

1. Preparation before installation

Check the bearings and accessories

Clean the bearings and related components, and check whether there are cracks, peeling, or rust on the inner and outer rings, rollers, and retainers of the bearings.

Confirm the dimensional tolerances and precision machining conditions of related components (such as shafts and bearing seats) to ensure concentricity deviation ≤ 0.02mm and avoid bearing damage caused by eccentric operation.

.

Choose the appropriate lubricant

Select high-temperature lubricating grease (such as lithium based grease, composite aluminum based grease) according to the working conditions, and its drip point should be 20-30 ℃ higher than the working temperature of the bearing.

. Molybdenum disulfide or graphite based lubricants can be used for high-speed or heavy-duty conditions to reduce the friction coefficient.

Avoid mixing different types of lubricating grease to prevent chemical reactions from causing the grease to deteriorate.

.

Control installation environment

Keep the assembly platform clean and avoid dust and impurities from entering the bearing chamber.

. If welding or gas cutting is required, welding steps should be formulated to prevent fatigue damage caused by stress concentration.

2. Precautions during installation

Special tools and standard operation

Use special press fit tools (such as hydraulic presses or induction heaters) to avoid directly tapping the bearings and prevent section damage.

. Heat the bearing to 80-100 ℃ and install it quickly to prevent local overheating and deformation; The interference fit should be controlled at 0.001-0.002 times the diameter.

During installation, ensure that both the inner and outer rings of the bearing are subjected to force at the same time to avoid deflection caused by one-sided force.

.

Adjust clearance and alignment

The vibrating screen should use bearings with increased clearance (such as C3/C4 series) to ensure that the radial clearance meets the design requirements.

. Use a dial gauge to check the coaxiality between the shaft and the bearing seat, with a deviation of ≤ 0.02mm, to prevent eccentric operation.

Sealing and Protection

Install labyrinth seals or lip seals to prevent dust and moisture from entering the bearing chamber.

.

Avoid applying oil or vegetable oil in the bearing chamber to prevent impurities from entering; If lubrication is required, the amount should be strictly controlled.

III. Precautions during use

Avoid overloading operation

Monitor current, vibration, or temperature, adjust feed rate or screening parameters in a timely manner, and prevent bearings from bearing abnormal impact loads.

.

Reduce the frequency of starting and stopping to avoid frequent starting and stopping, which can lead to increased instantaneous friction.

.

Control the working environment

Ensure good ventilation around the equipment, and install axial fans or heat sinks if necessary to reduce the ambient temperature.

. Stay away from heat sources (such as kilns and dryers) to prevent heat conduction from affecting bearing temperature.

Real time monitoring and warning

Install temperature sensors or infrared thermal imagers, set high temperature alarm thresholds (such as ≥ 80 ℃), and achieve automatic shutdown or prompt maintenance.

. Regularly record the temperature rise curve of the bearing, analyze abnormal trends (such as temperature rise rate>5 ℃/h), and promptly investigate the cause.

IV. Maintenance

Regular lubrication management

Regularly add lubricating grease according to the equipment manual requirements to avoid excessive or insufficient lubrication.

. Regularly replace old lubricating grease to prevent oxidation and deterioration; Clean the oil injection port to prevent impurities from entering.

Inspection and replacement

Disassemble and inspect bearings every quarter, remove oil stains and metal debris, and check for cracks or peeling in the raceway and cage.

. Use a feeler gauge or micrometer to check the radial/axial clearance of the bearing, and replace it if it is severely worn. When replacing bearings, all four sets of bearings need to be replaced simultaneously to ensure consistent performance.

Fastener Inspection

Check the condition of high-strength bolts and screen bodies after daily shutdown. If nut retraction occurs, tighten the torque immediately.

. Regularly check the height of the spring. If the working height of the spring decreases by 20%, the spring needs to be replaced (four sets need to be replaced at the same time).

Fifth, safety operation taboos

Prohibit illegal operations

Prohibit starting and stopping the machine with materials, and prohibit the machine from continuing to operate when there is abnormal noise.

. Welding or gas cutting on the sieve box and auxiliary components is prohibited to prevent stress concentration from causing cracks.

Avoid foreign objects from entering

It is forbidden to screen large pieces of material (exceeding the maximum feeding size specified in the manual) or materials with high viscosity to prevent blockage or damage to the bearings.

.

It is forbidden to inspect or adjust the machine while the bearings are running to avoid personal injury or equipment damage.

.

Prevent electrical faults

Ensure good grounding of equipment to prevent electrical corrosion damage caused by current passing through bearings.

.

Avoid electrical welding near bearings to prevent faults caused by current passing through the bearings.
