In modern construction and industrial fields, steel structures are increasingly widely used due to their high strength, strong plasticity, fast construction speed, good seismic resistance and recyclability. As one of the most critical processing technologies in steel structure manufacturing, welding's technical level and quality directly determine the quality and performance of steel structures.




At present, in the field of steel structure welding, traditional manual welding methods have exposed many disadvantages. On the one hand, manual welding is extremely inefficient, and workers need to concentrate on operation for a long time, with great work intensity, which not only seriously affects the production progress, but also makes workers prone to fatigue, making it difficult to ensure the stability of welding quality. On the other hand, with the development of the industry, the gap in welding workers has increased year by year, the problem of difficulty in recruiting workers has become increasingly severe, and the labor cost has also been rising, which undoubtedly brings a heavy economic burden to enterprises.


Although traditional welding robots have improved welding efficiency to a certain extent, most of them are programmed by teaching, which is inefficient and requires high professional skills of operators. Moreover, for non-standard and small workpieces, traditional welding robots are difficult to meet the needs, often resulting in repeated teaching, further reducing production efficiency.


In order to effectively solve these pain points faced by traditional welding in the steel structure industry, the ground rail welding robot workstation came into being. Taking the seven-axis ground rail steel structure robot workstation launched by Xizhang as an example, as a highly automated intelligent welding equipment, it enables the robot to move freely along the track by installing a walking axis track on the ground. This design greatly expands the robot's operating radius and significantly expands the scope of application of the robot.




The ground rail length of the ground rail welding robot workstation can reach 12000mm. The guide rail is matched with the rack movement and is precisely controlled by the servo motor, which can accurately weld longer or large workpieces.
