The rotor shaft sleeve of the screw machine needs to pay attention to the following key points during use to ensure its normal operation and extend its service life:
1、 Installation precautions
Installation accuracy of shaft sleeve:
The bending degree of the shaft should not exceed 0.05 millimeters.
The rotor oscillation (near the shaft sleeve of the dynamic ring seal) should not exceed 0.06 millimeters.
The axial displacement of the shaft is not allowed to exceed ± 0.5 millimeters. If there is a shaft sleeve, it is not allowed for the shaft sleeve to be loose.
Alignment of coupling and shaft sleeve:
The alignment error of the coupling should be controlled within the specified range, with gear couplings not exceeding 0.080.10 millimeters and elastic couplings not exceeding 0.050.06 millimeters.
Coordination between shaft sleeve and seal:
The end of the shaft sleeve for installing the dynamic ring seal and the end of the gland (or housing) for installing the static ring seal should be chamfered and smoothed.
The allowable deviation of concentricity between the cover (static ring seat) and the sealing joint with respect to the axis centerline is 0.05 millimeters, and the allowable deviation of perpendicularity between the plane in contact with the gasket and the centerline is 0.03~0.05 millimeters.
Protection during installation:
Be careful when installing and disassembling mechanical seals, and it is strictly prohibited to use hammers and flat shovels to avoid damaging the sealing components.
If scaling cannot be removed, it should be cleaned thoroughly before disassembly.
2、 Precautions for use and maintenance
Maintain lubrication and cleanliness:
Regularly inspect and replace bearing grease to ensure the lubrication and cleanliness of bearings and shaft sleeves.
Avoid using inferior or damaged lubricating oil, as well as mixing different types of lubricating oil.
Avoid overload operation:
Reasonably configure the capacity of the screw machine to avoid long-term overload operation.
Regularly check the load condition of the screw machine and adjust or increase the number of compressors in a timely manner for equipment operating under overload.
Optimize the operating environment:
Improve the operating environment of the screw machine to ensure that the operating temperature, humidity, and air quality meet the requirements for equipment operation.
Take insulation measures to ensure that the screw machine operates within a suitable temperature range.
Keep the environment dry and reduce the corrosive effect of humidity on the shaft sleeve.
Regular maintenance and inspection:
Regularly inspect the screw machine according to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance cycle.
Focus on the condition of the lubrication system, cooling system, and rotor shaft sleeve itself.
Promptly address any issues discovered to prevent wear and tear from worsening.
Rotation direction of rotor:
The rotor of the screw machine cannot be reversed, as reversing can cause friction between the rotor end face and the interior of the pump head casing, resulting in high temperatures and damage to the rotor.
Before starting, check if the direction of rotation is correct.
In summary, the use of screw machine rotor shaft sleeves requires attention to installation accuracy, alignment between couplings and shaft sleeves, coordination between shaft sleeves and seals, protection during installation, and maintenance and use. Only by ensuring the correctness and standardization of these aspects can the normal operation of the screw machine be ensured and its service life be extended.
