1、 Preparation work
Check bearings: Ensure that the size and quality of the bearings meet the design standards, and check whether the bearings are affected by moisture, rust, transportation bumps, and other issues.
Preparation tools: Prepare the necessary tools and equipment for installation, such as wrenches, micrometers, impact force, toolbox, etc.
Clean environment: Clean the installation environment to ensure that there are no impurities and pollutants.
2、 Installation process
Cleaning: Use clean kerosene to clean the bearing housing holes, roller necks, pressure covers, etc., ensuring the cleanliness of the installation area. At the same time, check if there are burrs or protrusions in the contact area with the bearing. If there are, they need to be polished smooth.
Measurement: Measure the actual height of the bearing, the height of the gland protruding from the sub port, and calculate the maximum value of the required gasket based on the net height of the bearing box. The formula is: (H1+H2+B-L)/2=X, and the thickness of the gasket should be less than X.
Installation of pressure cover: First, install the pressure cover on one side of the bearing box, flip it flat and place it on the platform.
Install bearing components: sequentially install the first outer ring, spacer ring, inner sleeve component, and second outer ring. During this process, the inner ring should be continuously rotated to ensure that the end face of the first outer ring is tightly attached to the pressure cover, and its raceway is in good contact with the first row of rollers.
Inspection: Rotate the inner ring of the bearing by hand to check for any stagnation or jamming. If intact, seal the bearing housing hole and place it in the spare area.
Assembly of rolling mill: Install the already installed moving labyrinth rolling mill onto the bearing box, and combine the axial clearance of the bearing to reserve a certain gap e between the inner sleeve end face and the pressure sleeve end face of the bearing, ensuring that the load can be evenly distributed between the two rows of rolling elements during bearing operation.
Lubrication: Add appropriate lubricating grease according to the needs of the production line.
3、 Precautions
Do not use striking tools to directly strike the bearings or shaft journals to avoid damaging them.
During the installation process, it is necessary to control the appropriate force to avoid excessive knocking that may cause bearing deformation or shaft neck damage.
Attention should be paid to preventing contamination of bearings, maintaining cleanliness, and avoiding touching the surface of bearings with dirty hands.
After installing the tapered roller bearing, it is necessary to make reasonable adjustments by adjusting the fit clearance of the bearing to ensure smooth operation and not generate excessive heat.
Pay attention to the correctness of the installation position, ensure that the inner and outer rings of the journal and bearing are perpendicular to each other, to prevent uneven loading caused by improper installation.
Record installation parameters, including bearing model, lubricating grease model and usage, adjustment parameters of bearings, etc., to provide reference for future bearing maintenance.
