1、 Correct storage method of UPS battery
1. Please note that the storage temperature shall be strictly controlled within - 20~+40 ℃
2. When the battery is stored, it must be in a fully charged state. Because part of the capacity will be lost due to self discharge during transportation or storage, it should be recharged during use.
3. In case of long-term storage, in order to make up for self discharge during storage, please supplement electricity. Please avoid the bad effect on battery life when it is stored at more than 40 ℃!
4. Please store in a dry, low temperature and well ventilated place.
5. If the battery package is accidentally wetted by water during storage or transfer, the packing carton shall be removed immediately to avoid battery discharge or burning of the positive terminal due to the water wetted carton becoming a conductor.
2、 Maintenance method of UPS battery
1. Maintain appropriate ambient temperature
For the effective charging of UPS batteries, the ambient temperature range should be between 5-30 degrees. Generally, the charging efficiency will increase with the increase of temperature. However, when the temperature rises above 45 degrees, the performance of charging battery materials will deteriorate at high temperatures, and the cycle life of the battery will be greatly shortened.
2. Periodic charging and discharging
The floating charge voltage and discharge voltage in the UPS power supply battery have been adjusted to the rated value when leaving the factory, and the discharge current increases with the increase of the load. The load should be adjusted reasonably in use, such as controlling the number of electronic devices such as microcomputers. Generally, the load should not exceed 60% of the rated load of UPS. Within this range, the discharge current of UPS battery will not be excessively discharged.
3. Replace the waste/bad battery in time
During the continuous use of UPS battery, due to the difference in performance and quality, the battery performance declines and the storage capacity cannot meet the requirements, resulting in failures. If some batteries in the battery pack fail, the maintenance personnel shall detect them and exclude them.
