Working principle of water pump unit
 日期:2025/6/19 16:08:00

The working principle of a water pump unit is based on the motor driving the impeller to rotate and generate centrifugal force, achieving the transportation of liquid from low to high. Specifically, the water pump unit is usually composed of a motor and a water pump connected, which drives the water pump to rotate through the motor, realizing the conversion of electrical energy and water energy. Taking a centrifugal pump as an example, its working principle is: before starting the pump, the pump casing needs to be filled with water (or the pump casing itself has water). When the motor starts, the pump impeller starts to operate under the drive of the pulley, and the water between the blades also moves with the blades. Due to the centrifugal force, water is thrown outward from the center by the impeller, gaining kinetic energy and leaving the outer edge of the impeller at a higher speed to enter the volute pump casing. In the snail shell, water slows down due to the bending and extension of the flow channel, and its kinetic energy is converted into pressure energy, flowing into the drainage pipeline at a higher pressure. When water flows out from the inside to the outer edge of the impeller, a partial vacuum is formed inside the impeller. At this time, the pressure above the liquid level in the storage tank is greater than the pressure at the inlet water level of the bottom valve, and the water is continuously sucked into the impeller. The impeller runs continuously under the drive of the electric motor. Due to the negative pressure inside the pump, water is continuously sucked in at atmospheric pressure on the horizontal plane, and then continuously discharged through the work of the impeller, circulating with each other to achieve continuous liquid transportation.
