The usage method of sprinkler irrigation mainly includes the following steps:
1、 Preparation work
Check equipment:
Before using a sprinkler irrigation machine, a comprehensive inspection of the equipment should be conducted, including whether there is any oil leakage in the hydraulic system and whether there are cracks in the pipelines.
Check whether the nozzle, steering mechanism and other components rotate flexibly and whether there are any abnormal phenomena.
Ensure that the sprinkler is in normal working condition. If there are any problems, they must be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
Inspect the irrigation area:
Check the structure of the land to ensure it is solid and prevent the sprinkler from collapsing or sinking into the ground during operation.
Check the rainwater discharge situation to determine the location and timing of using the sprinkler.
2、 Install nozzle
Correct installation:
Install the nozzle correctly on the hydraulic pipeline of the sprinkler and tighten all connections with a wrench.
There should be no looseness or leakage at the connection, otherwise it will affect the working effect.
Check the working status of the nozzle:
After installing the nozzles, the working status of each nozzle should be checked one by one.
You can observe whether each nozzle sprays water evenly by letting the sprinkler spray on the land for a few minutes.
If a nozzle is found to be uneven, it must be adjusted or replaced in a timely manner.
3、 Adjust the angle of the sprinkler system
Adjust according to the nozzle shape:
Adjust the angle of the sprinkler according to the shape and wetted area of the nozzle to achieve sufficient immersion of the farmland.
Choose the appropriate nozzle:
Larger nozzles can evenly spray water and are suitable for large areas of farmland.
Smaller nozzles can concentrate water flow into a smaller area, suitable for small-scale irrigation.
4、 Timed control sprinkler irrigation system
Set irrigation time and flow rate:
Control the irrigation time and flow rate according to the requirements of each nozzle.
When determining the flow rate and sprinkler frequency, regular changes should be made based on climate, season, land type, and growth status.
Planned irrigation:
The operation of sprinkler irrigation machines should be planned to avoid arbitrary changes in irrigation time and flow rate.
The concentration should be low during the first sprinkler irrigation, and the irrigation time should gradually be extended.
5、 Start and operate sprinkler irrigation system
Check voltage and current:
Check if the voltage and current of the water pump control cabinet and sprinkler control cabinet are within the normal range (usually between 380-405V).
Start sequence:
Start the water pump first, wait for it to reach the rated speed, and then slowly open the main valve and the valves on each branch pipe in sequence.
After waiting for the water pressure inside the sprinkler to reach the required level, turn on the sprinkler according to the requirements of the sprinkler (such as operating speed, forward and reverse direction).
Operation monitoring:
During the operation of the sprinkler system, it is important to constantly monitor the pressure of various parts of the sprinkler system.
Observe whether the nozzle rotates evenly and whether there are any abnormal phenomena.
Check if there is any leakage at the equipment joints, and if there are any abnormalities in the wheel side gearbox, motor, and transmission shaft.
6、 Shutdown and maintenance
Shutdown sequence:
Shut down or change irrigation settings at the equipment center according to the scheduled time.
When stopping the machine, stop the sprinkler first, and then stop the water pump.
Cleaning and maintenance:
After each sprinkler irrigation, the machine, pump, and nozzle should be cleaned thoroughly, and rotating parts should be promptly oiled and rust removed.
During winter, the water inside the pump and pipes should be drained to prevent freezing and cracking.
Regularly clean and lubricate the hydraulic system, machine cooling and ventilation devices, and other components to ensure long-term safe operation of the machine.
Storage and Preservation:
When the sprinkler system is stopped for a long time, the stored water in the pump body should be drained, the water pump and nozzle should be disassembled and inspected, and stored properly.
The pipeline should be cleaned and dried in the sun (the hose should be coiled into a disc), and placed in a cool and dry place.
The threads (or quick connectors) and rust prone parts on the rack should be coated with oil and stored properly.
In summary, the correct use of sprinkler irrigation systems requires following a series of steps and precautions to ensure normal operation, improve work efficiency, and extend service life.
